Saturday 29th May 2010 although much wetter than of late, did not deter County Antrim Harriers together with Antrim Borough Council as they hosted the Tardree 5K Trail Race. This was a very successful and well supported event, with some of County Antrim Harriers taking top prizes in their respective sections.
Congratulations to Christine Murray 2nd Female Overall (22:54), Helen Baird 1st FV40 (29:34), Irene Downey 1st FV45 (29:43) and Ricky Mason 1st V40 (23:45), also running on the day for the club were Gillian Hanna (30:28) and Suzanne Bradley (30:52).
Our thanks to Gary Montgomery, Russell Hughes (and the camper van), Ian McKeown, Lisa Montgomery, Glen Wilson and Claire Olliphant who's skills as marshalls were invaluable, and also to all club members who provided food for the post race refreshments which were thoroughly enjoyed and welcomed by all.
The biggest thanks must go to Greg Hopkins for his impecable organisation and attention to detail which made this event such a success. Well done Greg!
