Club Handicap Races
The Handicap Races for the Charlie Wright Shield, will be held over the next 4 Monday evenings beginning this Monday 30th August 2010, meeting at the Sixmile Leisure Centre at 7pm. There will be medals presented on the night for 1st / 2nd & 3rd Male and Female.
For those not wishing to take part in the handicap races, there will be a normal training run available.

Pioneer Lagan Valley Trail Race
On Tuesday 24th August 2010, County Antrim Harriers Ricky Mason took part in the 2nd race in the series of Lagan Valley Trail races organised by Pioneer. Ricky was delighted to finish 38th in a time of 30:49. Well done Ricky!

Club Training Week 23rd - 28th Aug 2010
Training as usual this week Monday and Wednesday at Ballyclare 7pm sharp. Thursday at Ballyearl 6.30pm sharp. Steady runs with option of speedwork on Wednesday - 1k reps.
Note:
A small number of members have arranged to meet at 9:30am FRIDAY morning 27th Aug at Larne Leisure Centre to run the Larne 1/2 marathon course - all welcome.
Anyone running wishing to run on Saturday morning 28th Aug, please arrange time and route between yourselves.

Club Training Week 9th - 14th August 2010
Monday 9th August (Meet at 6.55pm leaving at 7pm sharp)
Training run as follows:
Sixmile Leisure Centre - Rashee Road - onto Cogry Road - Bryantange brae (up steep climb) - turn right at the top onto Deerpark Road - turn right onto Holestone Road - turn right down Kilbride Road - turn left and return via Cogry Road - Rashee Road back to Sixmile Leisure Centre. Approximately 7 - 8 miles. Those who prefer a shorter distance follow the route as far as possible and then retrace your steps back to the Leisure Centre.

Option of Speed Training or Run
Speed Training: 1K reps (6+) along Templepatrick Road from Ballynure Road Junction - Hillhead Road Bridge with 2 minute recovery.

Sperrin Harriers 5 Mile Classic
Cookstown was the setting for the Sperrin Harriers 5 Mile Classic race on Friday evening 6th August 2010. The race was attended by County Antrim Harriers Irene Downey, Michael Matthews and Christine Murray. Christine was in her usual spritely form and completed the course in a time of 33:39 to collect the prize for 2nd FV40, just following Christine by one minute was Michael Matthews, he was on top form setting a new personal best over the distance of 34:30. Irene Downey was next home and she too was in sparkling form and proving that her injury is well healed as she set a new personal best of 39:53.

Annual Christmas Dinner 2010
It is proposed that the Annual Christmas Dinner will be held on Saturday 18th December 2010 a deposit of £10 per person will be required from those who wish to attend once the venue has been confirmed.

Summer BBQ
